Essam Taymour, MD, FACOG, is a Board Certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Taymour has been practicing since 1981 and is a fellow of the American College of OB/GYN. Dr. Taymour uses his compassionate and personable manner to provide the most current and comprehensive care to women.
Providing a broad spectrum of women’s health services, Dr. Taymour focuses on laparoscopic services, pelvic reconstruction procedures, and an innovative, new radio-frequency ablative procedure for treating uterine fibroids called Sonata. He also has extensive experience with Hormone Replacement Therapy. Since the ‘80s, Dr. Taymour has championed minimally-invasive gynecological surgery and remains proactive in exploring the latest treatment options and technologies for women’s health.
A graduate of the University of Alexandria Medical School, Dr. Taymour completed his internship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York. He finished his residency through the OB/GYN program at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania and went into extended training during a fellowship in pelvic surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.
Dr. Taymour is happily married and a father to three daughters. He is also a doting grandfather to his five grandchildren. Dr. Taymour speaks Arabic as well.
